Who we are

Troop 82 is a group of people working to provide a positive experience for boys in grades 5 through high school with the ideals and values of Scouting. Troop 82 is chartered by the American Legion 187 of Elmhurst. 

Our Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Scout Oath

“On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.”

Troop Mission

To provide a safe, supportive and participatory environment that enables scout’s learning of new skills, personal growth, character development, and leadership development, all within a rigorous outdoor program.
